Gautam Panchal is a Partner and Head of the Design Law Practice at ANM Global. He is an Intellectual Property Attorney with over two decades of experience, specialising in Indian Design Laws, including both prosecution and litigation aspects. His work spans strategic advisory, IP enforcement, litigation, prosecution, anti-counterfeiting, and border protection measures with a focus on industrial designs under the Designs Act, 2000. Since commencing practice in 2003, Gautam has advised and represented leading Indian and multinational companies across industries such as consumer goods, plastics, pharmaceuticals, household products, packaging, electronics, and industrial design.

Professional Experience:

Before joining ANM Global, Gautam practiced independently, focusing extensively on industrial designs. He is known for his practical, enforcement-driven approach that combines deep statutory knowledge with strong courtroom expertise. Over the years, he has successfully assisted numerous Indian and international clients in securing design registrations, formulating anti-infringement strategies, and obtaining favourable injunctions against counterfeiters and infringers.
His comprehensive understanding of both litigation and policy aspects under the Designs Act, 2000, coupled with his close coordination with the Design Wing of the Indian Patent Office, allows his clients to maintain a competitive edge.
