Arpit has represented several “A” List producers, broadcasters, studios, production houses, content aggregators & celebrities in various high stake non-litigation and litigation for films, web series, documentaries and other media and entertainment-related content.
Professional Experience:
Arpit’s core expertise includes handling non-litigation matters of the Media & Entertainment industry and advising clients on development, acquisition, production, distribution and syndication of films, web series, music and allied content. He specialises in Media Rights Management and has in-depth knowledge of media and digital rights; structuring transactions for co-production of films and web series; acquisition of content; and advisory for dispute resolution.
Arpit is actively involved in an advisory role for films, digital and television space on various transactional deals. Along with legal advisory on media and entertainment related transactions, Arpit has ad-hoc knowledge of commercial structuring of deals and risk mitigation, which has proven to be of remarkable help to the clients. His work profile includes catering to clients in various litigation matters for high profile films such as Parmanu, Begum Jaan, Satyameva Jayate, Sarkar Raj, Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, Vickey Donor, Ghoul, Sholay, Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha and others.
Arpit has graduated as BLS, LL.B. from Government Law College, Mumbai (GLC) and also completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from GLC, Mumbai. Arpit is ex-partner of Bar & Brief Attorneys and his career includes stints at Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited, Naik Naik & Company, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, Publicis Groupe, amongst others.
