Rahul Mehta has more than 15 years of experience in the media and entertainment space. Rahul has a very wide range of experience in the media and entertainment industry where he has advised and worked in different capacities in multiple organisations such as Singhania & Co., Zapak Digital Entertainment, Balaji Motion Pictures, Naik Naik & Co., Zee Entertainment, Sony Pictures Networks among others. While working as an inhouse counsel with the various Media giants, Rahul has been involved in various high value transactions and high-stake litigations and has also advised on various management and strategic decisions. Rahul is a business enabler lawyer and negotiator and is being known for that among his peers in the media and entertainment industry. Rahul was also heading the legal affairs at Zee Studios after which he joined Sony Pictures Networks. Rahul has a strong legal background in the Media & Entertainment industry with extensive experience in solving business challenges and networking within the industry. Rahul has worked on and has been involved in various litigation matters for films/ web-series such as ‘Gunjan Saxena’, ‘Good News’, ‘Parmanu’, ‘The Chargesheet’, ‘Haseena Parkar’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Rangoon’, ‘Toilet-Ek Prem Katha’ and others.
